Silo stackable wine rack, pure red painted beech

The Silo wine bottle holder by Massproductions is characterised by a subtle design language informed by old-fashioned wine cellars. Designed by Chris Martin, the Silo wine rack comprises an uninterrupted line of wood that holds the bottles horizontally in milled-out sections. The bottles rest in a precise 3.87-degree tilt that prevents the cork from drying out and tainting the wine by keeping the liquid in continual touch with it. The wine rack can hold four bottles per unit and be stacked up to four units high.

The Silo wine rack is part of Massproductions' The Little Things product line, designed by Chris Martin, that comprises a range of smaller furniture and objects. When creating the collection, Martin wanted to focus on the kind of items we encounter in our day-to-day lives but often take for granted. The idea behind The Little Things is to "gild everyday life", as Martin puts it.

Massproductions develops high quality, tactile furniture in a modernist spirit. Chris Martin and Magnus Elebäck met in 1999 and have since worked side by side as consultants for the furniture industry.
