All the listing information, including titles and description, will be written in the language the seller has chosen. Franckly will automatically translate listings on the seller’s behalf.

Follow potential buyers
Just take a look at how many potential buyers have clicked the ’F’ sign on the product page of your choice – the number can be seen as ’potential buyers’. Easy as that! Potential buyers are notified when the items they are looking for are listed for sale.
Make a listing
1. Select your item
Ready to sell? Perfect! First, find a product page – the item you wish to sell will be added under that. Simply give us clear information about your gem and let the buyer know what they’re about to purchase. To find a particular item, you can browse our selection by brand, designer or the name of the item.
2. Item details
Define the condition and describe the condition carefully. We advise you to be completely frank – by writing honest, clear and informative text in detail, you can ensure that the buyer is happy on receipt of the item. Describe the overall condition and any signs of wear and tear, anything from cracks, breaks and dents to minor flaws, such as handling marks.
Do check the original purchase receipt for your item, if you still have it. What you may find there is the item name and number, notes about the material and price.
Let us and the buyer know, for example, if your item:
- comes in its original packaging
- still has the price tag attached
- has a certificate of authenticity included
- comes with furniture gliders included or not
- comes with a mounting kit
- contains copper that has oxidised (or other material)
- is no longer in production
Kindly note that you are responsible for the information of the listed item, even though all listings are pre-screened. Excessive use of capital letters or phrases is not permitted in the title or the description of the item.
Make sure to include new photos taken by yourself (minimum of 3) and avoid violating any copyright laws by using images taken by others. Also, take a look at our guide for taking great photos.
Check all feature values
Please check that your items match our given feature values, sizes and materials. Please update any information if your item is somewhat different to the original. Our curators will contact you if the listed item does not qualify for the reference product.
Confirm your contact details
Confirm your name, street address, postal code, city, country and phone number. Kindly note that if you offer a local pickup, this will be the address for the pickup.
Define the shipping methods you want to offer. Let the buyer know if you are willing to ship the items and/or enable pickup from your home (local pickup). It is possible to choose pickup as the only shipping method.
When shipping an item, do confirm the size of the package. Kindly note that this information will be used to calculate the shipping cost for the buyer.
Our curators will review your listing submission once you have completed the listing and submitted it for review. Once a listing has been accepted, your item will be available for sale at Franckly – and you will be notified by email. We strive to publish all listings for sale as quickly as possible. Please note, however, that listings made late at night will only be screened and approved the following day.
Please note that listing pirated copies and fake items is not permitted. If we have questions regarding your listing, our team will contact you by email or telephone.
The referential retail price is provided by Franckly for those items that are currently available on the market as new. The listing price for each item on the website is provided by the seller. The listing price should be determined according to the original retail price, age, condition, brand and comparable items on the market.
You will set the price, but bear in mind that items at Franckly sell best when they have significantly lower prices than the original. We advise you to round prices up to the nearest whole euro.
Taking great photos
Ensure your listing sells fast by adding clear photos that capture all angles and any damage. Listings with many clear photos sell quicker than those with just a few. Read our guide for excellent photos, tips and tricks.
Three photos are the minimum requirement, but more can be uploaded to each listing. Please make sure your photos meet our minimum size requirements. Width or height of each photo must be at least 1350 pixels, in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.

1. Use good lighting
Make sure the light is good: Well lit and clear photos will help your item stand out and look professional, too. Take photos at daytime, but avoid straight sunlight – let the sunlight come through a white curtain, for example. Pay attention to the direction of the light: slanted light coming from the side is better than artificial light from straight above. If there is no natural light, project light indirectly via the opposite wall or white linen – don’t light the item.
You may adjust the lighting of a mobile phone’s camera. Important: the camera measures middle grey, thus candle-lit photos won’t work. Important: a camera measures only how dark or light the scene is, thus candle-lit photos won’t work. Your camera sees only tonality: black, white and a bunch of shades of grey in between.
2. Clear the background
Pay attention to the background and clear any extra distraction from the photo. If possible, use a pure white platform or background – the camera will be able to measure it as a neutral colour making the item appear as natural as possible. Avoid using a dark background, because it will absorb light.
3. Capture different angles
Include photos taken from several positions and angles. The first photo should show the entire item. Make sure to take photos from different distances from the front to the back. Take at least: wide shots from the front and back and show the profile, if possible.
Take the photos from the same height as the item. When photographing small items, put them on the table, for example. When photographing big items, you may need to crouch or sit down when taking the photo.Choose an angle that shows the dimensions and shape of the item. For example, you may want to turn a chair 45 degrees.
4. Document details
Add close-ups, in addition to the photos taken from the distance. Take close-ups at least from the label and all delightful details. Include photos that give the buyer a clear image of what they’re about to purchase.For special items, like cushions and upholstered furniture, please include a closeup photo of the material. When photographing big furniture like a bookshelf you don’t need to empty it but remember to show any stains.
5. Show the faults
To avoid unnecessary returns, make sure to carefully document all visible imperfections on the item: marks, scratches, stains, or any other damage. The imperfections need to be photographed accurately, so the buyer is able to understand the faults in the item.
Take detailed photos to match your item description. Show the scale and use a tape measure to help the buyer understand the scale of damages. How to show the dents in the item? The dents are visible in the sidelight.
6. Show brand labels and designer signaturesMake sure to include close-up photos of the brand label, designer signatures, any tags or branding. This will help the buyer to make a decision.
7. Avoid blurriness
Good photos sell best. Avoid blurry photos and make sure your item is in focus in all your photos. Avoid accidentally appearing in the reflection yourself.
8. Don’t use photo filters and effects or watermarks
Use only clear item images photographed by you. We won’t accept photos with extra filters, effects or watermarks. Make sure to use original photos and please don’t make any alterations.
9. Don’t use manufacturer’s photos
We won’t accept the manufacturer’s image as the listing photos. We have manufacturer’s photos on our reference product page. Your own listing will be shown under these product pages — with extensive item information for your customers. Copyright: By selling at Franckly you agree we may use descriptions and images of the items provided by you. We retain the copyright to all images, videos and descriptions created by us.

Basic requirements to consider when packing:
- Consider the durability and strength of the packaging box. The box should securely hold the weight of the shipped item.
- With fragile items, use extra cushioning and protection. Apply a special handling label, if possible.
- Consider the value of the content being shipped. With high-value goods, use extra cushioning and protection.
- Use good-quality cardboard boxes.
- Fill all void space and ensure that the item can’t move back and forth inside the box when you shake and turn it upside down.
- Items should not touch the outer wall of the box: ensure that there’s enough space between shipment content and all walls of the box.
- Edges may need extra attention.
- Use pressure-sensitive tape.
- Seal all joints and edges.
- Apply shipment label to the top surface of your package.
- Clearly display shipment label on a single surface.
Step-by-step instructions for packing:
1. Wrap all items separately by using thick wrapping
When sending multiple items, wrap each item separately. Keep them away from the sides of the package and from other items, especially when the items are fragile. For example, lighting items: the lampshade and the body need to be wrapped separately. All items must be uninstalled or disassembled, if possible. Arrange your disassembled item into a compact shipment.
2. Place your item in a cardboard box filled with protective material
Use enough wrapping to make sure the buyer will receive the item unharmed. If necessary, wrap the item in several layers. Pay special attention to sharp edges and sides. Ensure that there’s enough distance between the item and the sides of the package. This way you protect the items from any impacts or vibrations. Use enough wrapping so that you can shake the package without the items moving at all.
You may use either a new or an old cardboard box so long it’s sturdy and intact. Make sure that the item does not move inside the package.
Use appropriate wrapping material. We recommend:
- Bubble wrap: we recommend using several layers.
- Foam rubber made of polystyrene or polyethene: we recommend using thick foam rubber.
- Paper: if the item is first packed in bubble wrap, you can fill voids in the package with large bundles of paper.
- Double packing: double pack fragile items and pack separate parts individually inside the package.
Examples of wrapping items
Pay attention to packing even when using original package. (For example, most drinking glasses move even in the original package.)
- Several glasses: firstly, wrap each glass with bubble wrap. Then tie all glasses together with tape.
- Decoration items: the items should not move inside the package. Use plenty of wrapping.
- Mirror: make sure to use enough padding.
- Chair: sharp legs can easily pierce the package. Make sure to wrap the legs separately inside the box.
- Shelf: place wrapping between the parts.
3. Use strong tape designed for shipping
Close the box carefully and use wide packaging tape to seal it. Use several strips to the under side and the upper side of the box in order to seal the joints on the sides and in the middle. Do not use string, masking tape, office tape or paper to seal the box.
4. Print the address label and attach it to the top of the box
When reusing packaging material, remove or strike through any old addresses, stickers or other markings that are not related to your current shipment. Locate the address label on your Franckly account and print it on an A4 paper sheet. Attach the address label to the upper side of the box. Use clear tape or a plastic pocket.
It is important that the address label does not get detached and that the address, barcode and other information is legible. Do not attach the address label on top of joints or packaging tape.

We advise you to ship the item within 3 business days after the sale. Estimated handling time is given beforehand for each listing. When creating the listing, you can simply select ’Shipping' as the shipping method or ‘Local pickup', where it's up to you to propose the pickup date.

You made your first sale. Time to get paid!
Franckly will hold the money and take care of the payout, once the buyer has safely received the purchased item. Once the buyer has approved the sale, we’ll send the sale price (excluding our service fee) to the seller’s account. The personal data is collected and processed securely by Franckly for the purpose of paying the seller the agreed price.
Private seller: We will transfer the money without delay after the buyer has approved the purchase. Your buyer has 24 hours to check the item after receiving it.
Company: The buyer has the right to return a purchased item within 14 days from the date of purchase and delivery. The withdrawal period is counted from the day when the buyer receives the purchased item. We will transfer the money without delay after the return window has closed. Franckly disburses the payment between 15-20 calendar days after receipt of the payment.
Franckly service fee
We work on a service fee, and we only get paid when you do. Listing an item is completely free. We only charge our service fee for the transactions made.
The Franckly service fee is 19 % of the sale price. The service fee covers all transactional costs, customer service and marketing for your listing. If the item doesn’t sell, we won’t charge you anything.
