Design pioneer Alvar Aalto drew much inspiration from the Finnish landscape. His simple designs, executed with great craftsmanship, led to iconic interior design pieces that are both functional and sculptural. The vase has a small production air bubble. Alvar Aalto designed the first clear glass Savoy vases for a competition organized in 1936.
