Kiki 2-seater bench, green

Ilmari Tapiovaara designed the Kiki bench in 1960. Manufactured by Artek, the frame of the Kiki bench is made of a black-lacquered oval steel tube. The padded seat of the bench is upholstered with a green fabric.

The design of the Kiki series is based on Tapiovaara's straightforward forms, which gives the furniture series a minimalistic and timeless aesthetic. The modular pieces in the series can be combined in a number of ways and, thanks to their compact size, they are also perfect for small spaces.

In addition to the bench, the stylish Kiki series also includes a sofa, a coffee table, a side table and an armchair. The Kiki series has become one of Finland's most popular public space furniture due to its versatility. Kiki pieces will look great both in classic and contemporary interiors.

Artek was founded in 1935 by four young idealists – Alvar and Aino Aalto, Nils-Gustav Hahl and Maire Gullichsen published a design manifesto inspired by functionalism, stating that Artek’s aim was “to sell furniture and to promote modern culture of habitation by exhibitions and other means”.
