The Carin lighting family, reintroduced by Finnish lighting brand Innolux, takes its name from designer Lisa Johansson-Pape’s first name, Carin.

Innolux is a lighting brand launched in 1993 by the Finnish company Innojok, with the aim of bringing wellbeing-enhancing light into everyday life. Its collection includes a wide range of contemporary Finnish design as well as lighting classics from the 1950s and 1960s, and the brand works closely with architects and interior designers. Innolux’s own lighting factory is located in Kerava, and over 80 per cent of its products are made in Finland.

Innolux’s founder, Doctor of Technology Jukka Jokiniemi, dedicated his career to the study of light after being diagnosed at a young age with a disease that would eventually lead to blindness. His vision guided Innolux’s development towards high-quality lighting technology that supports wellbeing, establishing the brand as a pioneer in combining scientifically researched bright light therapy with Finnish design.
