Akademia chair by Nikari is a harmonious and refined wooden chair designed by Wesley Walters and Salla Luhtasela, also known as Studio Kaksikko. The balanced and organic appeal of the Akademia chair was influenced by Scandinavian design heritage, Japanese aesthetics, as well as the simple and honest Shaker style. Characterized by softly rounded shapes, Akademia chair can be used by the dining table or desk, or as an individual side chair in any room. As its name suggests, the Akademia chair originates from the academic world – the chair was a result of Wesley Walters' Master's thesis work at Aalto University, Helsinki.
