Seller’s description

Arabia's first Kalevala-themed annual plate appeared in 1976. They were intended as gifts and collectibles, the value of which was increased by a limited production batch. Until 1999, a total of 24 Kalevala annual plates based on the Finnish national epic, designed by the artist Raija Uosikkinen of the Arabia factory, were manufactured. Behind each plate is a Kalevala poem in Finnish, Swedish and English.
