Otto Brauer Holmegaard Gulvvase vase, red, 14" or 35.7 cm

Red and opaline white 14"/35.7 cm Danish MCM gulvvase, designed 1960 by Otto Brauer for Holmegaard/Kastrup Glasværk A/S  

This Gulvvase (Danish for floor vase) has been molded with 2 layers of glass, red and opaline white.  In English, this technique is called “cased” or “casing” (in German, “überfang”).

This vase is in excellent condition, with no damage, no cracks, no chips, no flea bites, and only barely visible traces of wear and age on the bottom surface.
