The Ekstrem lounge chair by Varier is an iconic rebel of Norwegian design. Designed by Terje Ekstrøm in 1984, Ekstrem is one of Norway’s first postmodern furniture pieces. Its wildly sculptural shape invites creativity and experimentation – you can sit with your feet on the floor, sideways with your legs over the armrests, or even lean back against the rear frame!

A steel structure ensures durability, while soft foam padding and a breathable wool upholstery make the chair comfortable for lounging over longer periods. Ekstrem works equally well as a statement piece in the living room or as an inspiring extra seat in a lounge or office corner.
