Oiva Toikka’s Blue Magpie is a rare glass bird that first joined Iittala’s flock in the early 2000s, though in slightly different shades back then. Adorned with a vibrant orange plumage, the Blue Magpie is mouth-blown like all Iittala birds, making each piece slightly unique – just as their real-life counterparts in nature are!

The first glass birds of the Birds by Toikka collection were designed in 1972 by Professor Oiva Toikka, renowned for his unique contribution to Finnish art glass over the past half-century.
