FDB Møbler's A91 Nordhavn bookcase, designed by Tina Schmid, is a sleek and versatile open shelf for both home and office use. The A91 Nordhavn bookcase features an airy design and skillfully finished details with industrial references. The shelves are crafted from lacquered oak adorned by natural grain patterns, and the sleek yet sturdy frame is made from metal. Schmidt drew inspiration for the design from Copenhagen's Nordhavn station, and the metal components of the shelves may indeed bring to mind the silhouette of railway tracks.

In addition to books, the A91 Nordhavn shelf can be used for storing art and decorative objects, greenery, or perhaps kitchen jars and containers. You can also combine several shelf units into a larger shelving system.

Danish FDB Møbler is strongly rooted in the icons of Danish furniture design. FDB, the Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society, was founded in 1940 to produce functionalist and democratic design for ordinary people – thanks to the new industrial production, FDB could manufacture high-quality furniture at low prices. During the next decades, designers such as Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther created numerous timeless pieces of Danish furniture design. FDB closed its factory in 1980, but in 2013 the Danish Coop launched FDB Møbler and started re-releasing some of the most beloved products of the mid-century Danish design. In addition to the classics, FDB Møbler creates new furniture inspired by the old collections.
