Unikko mug, blue

Marimekko's 2.5 dl Unikko mugs feature Maija Isola's iconic floral pattern in soft shades of blue. The Unikko pattern, released in 1964, originated when Marimekko's then-director Armi Ratia had publicly stated that he did not want any floral patterns in his collections - in protest, Isola designed a whole series of different floral prints, one of which was Unikko, which Ratia immediately took a liking to. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's most well-known and popular patterns worldwide.
