Ilmari Tapiovaara designed the Ovalette coffee table in 1954, consisting of an oval table top and an expressive cross-legged base. The Ovalette frame is made of sturdy solid oak, and the table top is made of veneered birch plywood, giving the table a beautiful, tonal surface and making it light and easy to transport. The table's cross-legged legs are reminiscent of the traditions of Finnish design.
