Seller’s description

A rare version of the Tapio Wirkkala rhythmic veneer coffee table model 9018 with the original nickled brass legs.
Tapio Wirkkala started generating and enhancing this rhytmic veneer technique in the 1940s with the Soinne Oy veneer factory. The thin outer surface of the veneer layer or plywood was enhanced in such a way that the direction and angel of the veneer produced 3 dimenssional patterns and leaf like oval figures.
