A Pair of Tapio Wirkkala Bronze Bird Sculptures, Kultakeskus Hämeenlinna, 1970s

A couple of nice Tapio Wirkkala bronze bird scultpures (paper weights).  Both items are in beautiful original condition with nice vintage patinas.  Although originally intended as sculptural paper weights, these items can be considered as art objects on their own, basically bird bronze sculptures.  This partly explains the high demand on these lately, for they fetch record prices in auctions worldwide.

Both items are signed Kultakeskus Oy and Tapio Wirkkala.
