The secret behind the Patch sofa's comfort lies in its structure: instead of traditional springs and foam, the sofa features pocket springs commonly found in mattresses, ensuring long-lasting buoyancy and comfort across the entire seat.

Designed by Chris Martin, the Patch collection embraces a playful aesthetic – the sofa's generous shapes draw inspiration from duffel bags, moc toe boots and even sausage strings. The modular Patch system is built from plump components with low, lozenge-shaped backrests that lend the collection a visually lighter look. You can expand the configuration at any time by adding individual modules.

This sofa is upholstered in a cotton-linen fabric Linare, known for its brushed finish that feels peachy-soft and has a subtle, matte sheen.

Chris Martin

Massproductions is a Stockholm-based furniture company, run by the English designer Chris Martin and the Swedish designer Magnus Elebäck. Massproductions develops high quality, tactile furniture in a modernist spirit. Martin and Elebäck met in 1999 and have since worked side by side as consultants for the furniture industry. With the knowledge accumulated over the years, the two experienced designers decided to take the next step and in 2009 launched their own furniture company, Massproductions, under which they now produce and market their own collections of furniture using a new and simple method for developing products. By taking away the filters normally associated with a producer, they can make products that would otherwise get stuck somewhere in the development process.

The name of the company comes from the designers’ knowledge and passion for mass production. Their goal is to use industrial processes to create furniture which people can get excited about, something that gives them pride of ownership. The philosophy behind Massproductions is to harness the benefits, values and quality of volume production. At Massproductions, they believe that responsible and rational mass production benefits the consumer, the factory worker and everyone in between.
