Mukura 2195 cocktail glass, clear

Nuutajärvi Glassworks' Mukura cocktail glass is part of the glass series designed by Oiva Toikka in 1971. The bowl of the Mukura cocktail glass is mouth-blown clear glass and its grape-like stem is mold-blown. The timeless and unique design of the Mukura wine glass elevates any table setting.

Nuutajärvi Glassworks produced the Mukura glassware from 1971 to 1975. Mukura is also known as Paratiisi, as the glassware was designed to match Birger Kaipiainen's Paratiisi tableware. The glass series includes a wine glass, a sparkling wine glass, a cocktail glass, a beer glass, a liqueur glass, and a shot glass.

Oiva Toikka

Nuutajärvi Glassworks was established in Urjala in 1793, and until 2014 it was the oldest glass factory still operating in Finland. The Nuutajärvi glass factory area is nowadays listed among the nationally important built cultural environments by The National Board of Antiquities. During its long history, Nuutajärvi Glassworks manufactured everything from window glass to design glass.

Kaj Franck was the longest-running artistic director of the Nuutajärvi Glassworks between 1951 and 1973. The glass factory also employed several other well-known Finnish glass designers such as Gunnel Nyman, Saara Hopea, Oiva Toikka, Heikki Orvola and Kerttu Nurminen. Independent glass designers and artists still work and manufacture glass objects at the Nuutajärvi glass factory area. The Nuutajärvi Glass Museum Prykäri, designed by Kaj Franck, also locates in the area.
