Moomin adaptive grip spoon, Sniff

The Moomin adaptive grip spoon by Skandino brings a touch of familiar Moominvalley magic to everyday mealtimes. With Sniff on the handle, little ones can try new skills at their own pace and discover the joy of learning. The spoon features a wide, ergonomic handle that is easy for small hands to hold and offers a secure grip, while the bowl is shaped for small mouths. Its design supports an early fist grip and gently supports the transition to a pencil grip. 

Skandino’s children’s tableware is developed in collaboration with speech and occupational therapists to support early eating and drinking skills. The collection combines a calm colour palette with playful illustrations and durable, everyday practicality. It includes a spoutless sippy cup, a baby plate and an adaptive grip spoon, all featuring beloved Moominvalley characters such as Little My, Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden and Sniff. Made in Finland from 94% plant-based, non-toxic materials, the products are both dishwasher and microwave safe. 

Skandino is a Finnish company founded in 2014 that produces ecological children’s tableware from durable, non-toxic biomaterials. The tableware is developed in collaboration with speech and occupational therapists to support children’s independent eating and drinking skills. The children’s tableware set was awarded the iF Design Award in 2025. All products are made in Finland.
