Model 2042/3 ceiling lamp, 20 cm, champagne

The Model 2042 ceiling lamp by the lighting brand Astep is composed of 3 round opal glass diffusers with steel ring structures. You can place the glass spheres on the rings either way around and thus alter the lamp's look and intensity of light. The bold yet streamlined Model 2042 will find its place in many kinds of spaces, be it a living room, hallway, kitchen or bedroom.

The Model 2042 ceiling light is part of the Le Sfere collection created by the legendary Italian lighting designer Gino Sarfatti in 1959. Sarfatti sought inspiration for his work from natural light and the sky, and the lamps of the Le Sfere collection were influenced by the soft light and round shape of the Moon. The collection consists of a diverse range of luminaires that all have two things in common: white light diffused through opal glass and a modern, graphic touch of the metal rings. The Le Sfere lamps are made in Italy and are equally well suited for private and public spaces.

Gino Sarfatti

The lighting brand Astep was founded in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti, a member of a renowned Italian family of lighting designers. His father Riccardo Sarfatti was the founder of the Luceplan brand, and his grandfather Gino Sarfatti once established the legendary  lighting company Arteluce.

Astep's collections focus strongly on two different aspects: Astep develops contemporary designer lamps utilizing new technology, as well as relaunches old Italian design classics. Respecting the traditions of the Sarfatti family, all Astep products are manufactured in Italy.
