L36 Bjørk daybed, oak - grey

FDB Møbler’s L36 Bjørk is an elegant, refined daybed that can function as a minimalist sofa, guest room bed or napping place. The daybed has been crafted from solid oak, and its mattress and cushion are upholstered in high-quality wool fabric. The sleek lines and rounded angles of the daybed are complemented by brass-coloured screws of the legs. The Bjørk daybed was designed by Copenhagen-based studio Unit 10.

Danish FDB Møbler is strongly rooted in the icons of Danish furniture design. FDB, the Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society, was founded in 1940 to produce functionalist and democratic design for ordinary people – thanks to the new industrial production, FDB could manufacture high-quality furniture at low prices. During the next decades, designers such as Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther created numerous timeless pieces of Danish furniture design. FDB closed its factory in 1980, but in 2013 the Danish Coop launched FDB Møbler and started re-releasing some of the most beloved products of the mid-century Danish design. In addition to the classics, FDB Møbler creates new furniture inspired by the old collections.
