L32 Suru lounge chair, designed by Carina Maria for FDB Møbler, features an oak frame and two wide shells that intersect each other in an interesting, organic manner. The name Suru comes from a Japanese word for ”through”, and it refers not only to the intersecting structure of the back but also to the connection of Japanese and Scandinavian form language. The airy design of Suru chair will complement both contemporary and classic interiors, and the distinctive back structure makes it also a bold centrepiece of the room.

Danish FDB Møbler is strongly rooted in the icons of Danish furniture design. FDB, the Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society, was founded in 1940 to produce functionalist and democratic design for ordinary people – thanks to the new industrial production, FDB could manufacture high-quality furniture at low prices. During the next decades, designers such as Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther created numerous timeless pieces of Danish furniture design. FDB closed its factory in 1980, but in 2013 the Danish Coop launched FDB Møbler and started re-releasing some of the most beloved products of the mid-century Danish design. In addition to the classics, FDB Møbler creates new furniture inspired by the old collections.
