Iittala’s Kartio tumblers are part of the glassware collection designed by Kaj Franck in the late 1950s. On the occasion of Kaj Franck's 100th Anniversary year, Iittala resumed the pro­duction of the thin Kartio tumblers in 2011. These Kartio tumblers are based on the original design by Kaj Franck and, according to it, are thinner than the current ones, just as the first Kartio tumblers which were in production. The Kartio glassware series channels the pure essence of Franck’s philosophy into what was an object of continuing fascination for the ar­tist: the everyday drinking glass.

Functional Kartio collection was launched in 1958 and it is a fine example of Finnish glass design. The tumblers, carafes and bowls of the Kartio collection stand the test of time and use. The Kartio range is available in a variety of colours as well as clear glass.
