J27C counter stool, 65 cm, stained oak

FDB Møbler’s J27C counter stool is part of a seating collection designed in 1949 by legendary Danish designer Børge Mogensen. Made of solid wood, the J27C counter stool is characterised by a sleek, rounded design, and the handle on the seat makes it easy to move the stool when needed. The multifunctional counter stool is equally well suited for kitchen islands and high dining tables in private use as well as bar tables in restaurant contexts. The chair has been granted the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

Danish FDB Møbler is strongly rooted in the icons of Danish furniture design. FDB, the Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society, was founded in 1940 to produce functionalist and democratic design for ordinary people – thanks to the new industrial production, FDB could manufacture high-quality furniture at low prices. During the next decades, designers such as Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther created numerous timeless pieces of Danish furniture design. FDB closed its factory in 1980, but in 2013 the Danish Coop launched FDB Møbler and started re-releasing some of the most beloved products of the mid-century Danish design. In addition to the classics, FDB Møbler creates new furniture inspired by the old collections.
