In the Sun pendant, silver - gold

DCWéditions’ In The Sun combines a steel frame, a glass cover, and a strikingly shaped metal mesh that gently filters the light. Thanks to this clever composition, In The Sun casts a radiant halo reminiscent of sunbeams on its surroundings.

Designed by French designers Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, the light was originally created for the renovation of the Dufour Pavilion at the Palace of Versailles – a project led by Perrault’s architecture firm and completed in 2016. True to its name, In the sun refers not only to the poetic play of light but also to the Sun King himself, Louis XIV of France, whose court once resided in Versailles.

DCWéditions, founded in 2008 by Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler, is a French brand that specialises in relaunching classics of modern design.
