HK kettle, 0,4 L, cast iron

HK kettle by the Japanese brand Iwatemo is a unique combination of Finnish design and Japanese handcraft traditions. Designed by Harri Koskinen, the small kettle is made in the Iwate region of Japan where ironware has been manufactured for centuries. The long traditions guarantee that the craftsmen of the area possess the necessary skills required in the production, from the making of the moulds to the final step of attaching the handle. The design language of the simple yet elegant HK kettle will delight in the kitchen year after year, even when the cast iron kettle is not in use.

Harri Koskinen

Iwatemo was established in 2016, when Finnish designers Ville Kokkonen and Harri Koskinen were invited to visit the Iwate prefecture in Japan, in order to get acquainted with the area’s traditional production methods. All Iwatemo products are produced in Iwate in collaboration with the Finnish designers and local artisans, using traditional techniques and materials typical of the area.
