Frutta pitcher 1 L, amethyst

Iittala's Frutta pitcher is part of the Frutta glass series designed by Oiva Toikka in 1968. The embossed fruit and berry reliefs of the Frutta series add a charming look to any table setting. The Frutta pitcher in the mystical amethyst shade is well-suited for serving water, juice and other beverages. Oiva Toikka designed the Frutta series as commissioned work for a Finnish retail company called SOK and it was originally produced by Nuutajärvi Glassworks. Nuutajärvi Glassworks produced the Frutta series in clear, turquoise, and grey glass. In addition to the pitcher, the mouthblown Frutta series also includes a tumbler. Iittala brought the Frutta series back into production in 2020 and began producing the series in a range of new colours such as lemon, clear, amethyst, salmon pink, moss green and a lovely rain blue.
