Cabin Chef little knife

Marttiini's Cabin Chef little knife is a conveniently sized universal knife that can be used, for example, as a peeling knife and for chopping mushrooms or vegetables in the cabin kitchen or for small chores at the campfire. Thanks to its small size and simple design language, the stainless steel knife also makes a great steak knife for the dinner table.

The handle of the knife is shaped so that it feels comfortable and firm in the hand whatever the grip may be. In addition to the form, the handle’s material was also chosen for its ergonomic properties: thermally modified birch feels warm and pleasant to touch and its matte finish ensures a good grip even in wet conditions. The material is not only durable, but also ages beautifully.

The Cabin Chef little Nordic knife is part of the eponymous knife collection, designed by Harri Koskinen, that fuses unpretentiously beautiful design with utmost functionality. Created in collaboration with Marttiini and top chef Pekka Terävä, the collection was inspired by the unique charm of Nordic nature: it offers all the knives you could need for handling nature’s gifts in the camping or cabin kitchen as well as when cooking at home. The Cabin Chef knives are made in Finland and come with a traditional natural leather sheath.

Marttiini, founded by Janne Marttiini, is best known for its high-quality Nordic knives, also called puukko knives, which the Finnish company has been manufacturing since 1928. Over the decades, Marttiini has also manufactured coffee grinders, axes, water knives and lifting hooks, among other things. In addition to traditional Nordic knives, Marttiini's filleting knives have also gained praise and popularity both domestically and internationally.
