Harry Bertoia designed the Diamond chair in 1952 for Knoll, who has manufactured the chair ever since. The chair is defined by a diamond-shaped frame lying on an airy sledge base. Its modern and timeless aesthetic has made the Diamond chair an iconic design piece.

Thanks to its lightness and durability, the Diamond chair works well in many different spaces, while also adding some texture to the interiors. Their modern and sculptural design has also served as a key influence for several of today’s designers.

Knoll is an American design company that has produced many classic pieces of modern furniture design, such as Eero Saarinen’s Womb chair and Tulip range. Knoll was founded in 1938 in New York by Hans Knoll. His wife, architect and designer Florence Knoll joined the company in the 1940s and took over the operation after Hans' death. During the decades, Knoll’s designs have won numerous design awards, and over 40 Knoll products can be found in the permanent collection of New York’s MoMA.
