A232 sideboard, lacquered oak

FDB Møbler’s A232 sideboard is a graceful oak wood cabinet designed by Børge Mogensen in 1964. A fine example of Mogensen’s clean and functional style, the A232 sideboard features a sleek wooden construction with brass-coloured metal knobs and two compartments behind the doors. You can use the compartments as they are, or customise them with shelves and drawers, which are sold separately.

Thanks to its simplified design and great adaptability, the A232 sideboard serves equally well as a living room sideboard or as a storage cabinet in the kitchen, hallway or office.

Børge Mogensen

Danish FDB Møbler is strongly rooted in the icons of Danish furniture design. FDB, the Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society, was founded in 1940 to produce functionalist and democratic design for ordinary people – thanks to the new industrial production, FDB could manufacture high-quality furniture at low prices. During the next decades, designers such as Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther created numerous timeless pieces of Danish furniture design. FDB closed its factory in 1980, but in 2013 the Danish Coop launched FDB Møbler and started re-releasing some of the most beloved products of the mid-century Danish design. In addition to the classics, FDB Møbler creates new furniture inspired by the old collections.
