The open shelf from Lundia’s Classic collection is a design classic that has been cherished in Finnish homes since 1948. The possibilities are endless: use it as a bookshelf or place it in the nursery or kitchen – you decide! The shelf is easy to assemble and dismantle whenever needed. If you need more storage space, you can expand it with shelves and uprights, and modify it with doors, drawers, dividers and other parts from the Lundia Classic range. The shelf is made of slowly grown Finnish pine wood that makes it a strong, ecological and timeless icon of Finnish design.

Lundia is a Finnish family business, founded in 1948. Lundia was born in the 1940’s when the carpenter and inventor Harald Lundqvist changed the world of furniture in his workshop. Lundqvist had discovered, that when people move they could not take the permanently installed shelves with them. From this he got the idea to start designing a new type of shelf, which could be both dissembled and re-assembled. Lundqvist's invention made it possible to adjust storage units by the space and the need of the individuals. This was how the first collection of Lundia was born. Since then the Lundia collection has been joined by several high-quality shelving units, beds and lamps.
